We are very flexible and can offer employers lots of opportunities to meet our students outside of our timetables fairs and events.
Recruitment talks are a great way to promote your opportunities and to target the groups of students that you really want to meet. The most successful presentations include not just an overview of the company and the roles available, but also give tips on applications and the recruitment and selection processes at your company. Where possible to include recent USW Alumni in your presentation.
Delivering skills sessions are a fantastic way to meet students and give an insight into recruitment processes and a few top tips on how to succeed. As sessions attract students interested in the topic they can be a great way to broaden your reach. Potential topics could include - Assessment Centres, Psychometric Tests, Interviews, Personal Branding.
Give students an overview of a topic or a particular career area e.g. "Working in the Third Sector", "Careers in Publishing", "Women in Engineering".
Deliver sessions within the curriculum targeting a particular class of students. These are usually as a subject expert giving an insight into current industry practice but could alternatively be a skills session as part of an employability programme.
Employer in the Foyer
Meet students informally by having a stand at a busy location on campus. We'll locate you based on the kind of students you want to meet and publicise your attendance in advance.
Engage with students in a less formal networking "Meet the Employer" event with refreshements such as pizza and soft drinks.
